Is This Tournament a Good Fit?
This Saturday afternoon Swiss is ideal for Chicago-area players from beginner through expert looking for a quick competitive outing: the Open section welcomes 1800+ players with classical time controls (G/60+30), while the U1800 section offers a slightly faster pace (G/45+15) across four rounds for intermediate players. FIDE-titled players get in free, and entry fees are modest at under $40 for everyone else.
