Is This Tournament a Good Fit?
This scholastic event in Houston is designed for young players and offers separate sections for different skill levels, so you can compete against peers at your stage. With rapid time controls (25 minutes per side for scholastic, 45 for advanced) and just a few rounds, it's a manageable one-day commitment. At $32.50 to enter, the entry fee is quite reasonable for a scholastic tournament.
