This is a premier four-day state championship with sections for players from 1200 to open rating, so whether you're a developing player or seasoned competitor, there's a competitive home for you. The classical time control (40 moves in 80 minutes, sudden death 30 minutes, 30-second increment) allows for thoughtful play, and if you can't commit to the full event, a two-day option covers the first three rounds with faster G/40 time. Entry fees are reasonable and notably waived entirely for titled players.
