Is This Tournament a Good Fit?
If you're looking for a fast-paced chess experience in one day, this state championship offers both rapid and blitz competitions with affordable entry fees starting under $25. The rapid section features four rounds at a reasonable pace (25 minutes per side), while the blitz section provides five rounds for players who enjoy quicker games, and both formats use Swiss-system pairings to match you fairly regardless of skill level. With separate Open and Reserve sections in rapid play, you can choose competition suited to your strength.
